How do I purchase event merchandise?
ThermaTech event merchandise is available to purchase during the online event registration process. If you have completed your event entry but have now decided to purchase event merchandise, you can do so through the online store using the username and password you created during the online registration process.
There will be no merchandise for sale on-site. Merchandise must be purchased online prior to 3rd November 2024.
Where can I park on event day?
Parking is available throughout Hamilton City Centre, including multi-story parking facilities at Centre Place (Bryce Street) and Anglesea Street. On-street parking is also available throughout numerous locations within the City Centre, but please be aware that Victoria Street will be closed on event day.
The City Centre will also be a bit busier than usual, so we would advise all participants who intend to bring a vehicle to arrive early on event day. We'd also recommend using public transport as much as possible... or even better, why not have a nice warm up by walking to the event!
Where do I collect my bib?
Event day Bib Collection takes place in the Hamilton City Library, Garden Place. This is where you will pick up your Race Pack which includes your race number and timing chip. For more information, including alternative options to event day bib collection, click here.
How is the Start Line organised?
The Start Line will be divided into Start Zones. Each zone will set off in waves, meaning that thousands of participants aren't all trying to start the fun run at the same time. This way, we greatly reduce the risk of any accidents and ensure that all runners / walkers have a positive experience at the Start Line.
How do I know my Start Zone?
Your Start Zone is determined by your estimated finish time (i.e. roughly how long you think it will take you to complete your run / walk). How to estimate your finish time as well as all other information related to Start Zones can be found here. If you are still unsure, don't worry, we will help you find your correct Start Zone when you pick up your Race Pack at Bib Collection.
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately dogs will not be permitted to accompany participants during their run / walk at this year's event. Unless you require the aid of a 'Service Dog' to complete the event, please leave your furry friend/s at home or with a friend / family member at the start / finish line.
Can I run / walk with a stroller?
Mum / Dad and baby are more than welcome to run with a stroller. However, to ensure the safety of baby and other participants, all runners / walkers with a stroller will start in the final wave (the Pink Start Zone).
Can parents run with their child in the Grassroots Trust Kids Challenge?
The Grassroots Trust 1km or 2km kids challenge is for kids only. The course is supervised by event staff, and is designed to be completely safe for children to participate in on their own. Cheering along the sideline from parents, however, is greatly encouraged!
