The runners head towards the Fairfield Bridge and back along Victoria Street. 1 loop of this is 1km Kids Challenge (7 year olds only), 2 loops is the 2km Kids Challenge.

Timing Results

Following the event, your finish times will be published online via our timing provider MyTime. From here, you can view and sort finish times via event category, age group and more, In order to ensure that your recorded finish time is accurate, please ensure that your race bib is properly secured to the front of your chest and that you line up in the correct start zone selected during the online entry process.

Please note that whilst MyTime endeavour to have all finish time published immediately after the event, it can take a few hours for some results to display accurately.

Kids Challenge Details

Designed for children aged 7 - 13 years, the Kids Challenge offers a memorable event experience and is a fantastic vehicle for educating kids about the importance of health, exercise and wellbeing. The event is delivered in conjunction with Sport Waikato's Team Energize and attracts over 700 children every year.

The Kids Challenge is for kids only. The course is supervised by event staff and Team Energize and is designed to be completely safe for children to participate in on their own. Cheering along the side line from parents however, is greatly encouraged!

All kids who complete the Kids Challenge will receive a medal. Prizegiving takes place at 10:35am on the Garden Place Main Stage. Medals, certificates and a $40 Thermatech prize pack will be awarded to the fastest three boys and girls from each age group.

School participation is a major element of Lugton's Round the Bridges, with over 700 local children choosing to take part each year. In order to help make it as easy as possible for schools to get involved in this year's event, we're putting together a comprehensive School Guide which will explain everything you need to know, from the online entry process through to setting up a school team, coming soon!
